The goal of this website is to provide a forum for the exchange of helpful tips for all cellists and cello teachers. You will find that the information on this site is clearly organized into categories dealing with various aspects of cello technique, musicality, and practical issues, such as studio management and performance anxiety. My hope is that professional cellists everywhere will give and take freely of this site. We cannot all be brilliantly creative all of the time, so let’s share our great ideas when we have them.
This site also welcomes ideas that you may have picked up while observing or being taught by other teachers, but please, give credit where credit is due. If the idea is not originally yours, please let us know who you borrowed/stole it from in the "Thanks to..." box that accompanies every post. In addition, if you do not find what you are looking for among the previously submitted ideas, you may ask a specific question on the Discussion Board (Coming soon).
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I would appreciate feedback on the layout and/or content of the site for future improvements.
I hope your exploration of this site yields lots of useful hints and helpful information that will inspire your cello teaching and keep it fresh. The value of the site depends on the input of its users, so please, in the spirit of friendly collaboration, DON'T FORGET TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR OWN IDEAS AS WELL. Thanks so much.
