My 7-year-old was having trouble remembering which sections repeat in the Gossec Gavotte, and she was completely uninterested in the AABCCDDAB explanation.
So we resorted to stuffed animals (hmmm, so far, all my posts are about stuffed animals. Uh-oh.).
She has a few "twins" and her brother has a duplicate of one of her Webkinz,so we set up a row of furry audience members.
There were two little orange kitties, one Webkinz chihauha, two big orange kitties, and two Webkinz elephants.
She then played a concert for her furry friends, while I held up each animal when it was its turn to have "its" section played. (One animal for each section, and one little orange kitty and the chihauha got to go twice.)
We did this two days in a row, and she hasn't made a mistake on Gossec Gavotte since!
