I found this simple appraoch in the excellent, "How I Play/ How I Teach" book by Paul Tortelier. This is a very detailed and quirky book with a bunch of pictures and lots of exercises. Maybe better for the more advanced player to pick through and chose which ideas work for him/her. For example, Tortelier uses a lot of fourth finger in thumb position which doesn't work so well for me.
